Ah Puch is the Mayan god of death and the underworld — lord of Xibalba, the place of fear below the earth. He is depicted as a skeletal figure with exposed ribs, adorned with the symbols of decay, wearing bells on his hair and joints so his approach cannot be mistaken. He is not evil — in Mayan cosmology death is not a punishment, it is a transformation. But Ah Puch’s domain is still the place no one wants to go before their time.

This bandana features original artwork depicting Ah Puch in his full skeletal authority: skull face with glowing eyes, a headdress of death owls and dark flowers, bells adorning every joint, a torch of extinguished light in one hand and a ceremonial blade in the other — surrounded by smoke, Mayan death glyphs, and the cold dignity of the underworld made visible.
